This authentic Atlas mountain guest house overlooks the village of Imlil, and is situated on the hillside of the Toubkal mountain, the highest peak in North Africa.

Once a fortified summer house, the property was lovingly restored by local craftsmen using ancestral Berber techniques. This unique Berber Hospitality centre now stands proud above walnut groves and opens onto wide open spaces, mountain peaks, waterfalls, a lake and deep gorges. Much more than a guest house, the Kasbah offers an extraordinary human experience, with friendly and genuine staff, breathtaking sceneries; it offers a magical and serene refuge away from the usual tourist track.

The old town of Marrakech, called the Medina, is a fortified city enclosed in 10 metre high walls that date back to Medieval times. It is home to sites of interest such as the world famous Jemaa el-Fna square, the Ben Youssef Koran school, the superb Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, or the Majorelle gardens restored by Yves Saint-Laurent.

It is best known for its bustling Saturday morning market, which offers an excellent opportunity to discover local arts and crafts. Located just 15 km away from the Kasbah, it offers an interesting half day excursion.

Recently listed UNESCO world heritage, it is one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims.

It is situated 1 hour’s drive away from the Kasbah.

The trail starts at Imlil, and the Kasbah which features comfortable accommodation, a restaurant and a hammam offers the perfect base for trekkers.

It offers 4 drag lifts, a chairlift, 5 runs and intermediate slopes, and a skiing school making it a fun ski resort for all the family. The Oukaimeden ski resort is easily accessible from the Kasbah for day trips.

The lodge is situated 18 km away from the Kasbah, and can only be accessed on foot, by mule or by driving along a very narrow dirt road. It takes about 4,5 hours to walk to the lodge, and we offer luggage transfer and a picnic lunch for about 70 euros per person.

Our lodge comprises 4 en suite bedrooms, a small hammam, underfloor heating, a cosy lounge with fireplace and large bay windows, and a unique terrace with views of the snow-capped Toubkal summits.
